Frequently Asked Questions

How Is Online Reputation Management Done?

We create new, positive content such as special SEO press releases, SEO optimized articles, social media campaigns, optimized video, blogs, websites, and other media. We also identify positive information already in the search results that utilizes your key phrases. Then we increase the relevance of the preferred web sites through a process of search engine optimization. This includes building a web of networked information intended to promote the positive web sites naturally over time. In addition to creating content (blog entries on blogs you control, articles, and press releases), we also create links with anchor text that help promote positive websites in search results.

How Often Do You Bill?

We bill once per month. Usually to the credit card on record.

How Much Does Internet Marketing Cost?

How much internet marketing, specifically optimization, costs depends on the age of the site being optimized, how competitive the key phrase is, which search engine are being optimized for, and more. The cost of SEO 'generally' ranges between $1250 per month and $5000 per month, but can be more.

How Much Does Internet Reputation Management Cost?

Internet reputation management costs differ for every project based on the competitiveness of the search term(s) involved, whether it is an 'active' or 'passive' reputation problem, how aggressive the client would like the campaign, and other factors. Costs can range from about $1250 per month to over five figures. Clients can control monthly expenditures by requesting budget parameters.

How Long Does Reputation Management Take?

The length of time varies depending on a number of factors including:

  • The 'strength' of any negative search results.
  • The level of aggressiveness required.
  • The amount of positive content to be generated.

That said, it generally takes three to four months to begin to see results, six months to a year before the average negative search result is pushed to a place the client is happy with.

How Long Does SEO Take?

We'd like to be able to blurt out a number, but it is difficult to say. Our clients tend to average six months to a year before the 'money' search results kick in. However, we've seen movement in less than two weeks for established sites that only needed minor adjustments - this is the exception though.

Why Does It Take So Long?

It takes a while to change search results. Search engines use 'robots' to crawl the web and take a snapshot of each bit of content they find. They score each piece of content with something like a relevance score; in Google's case this is called Page Rank. It takes months of work to build up page rank on a single site.

Is There a Long-Term Contract?

No. You can stop with 30-days notice after the initial 90 days.

Internet Reputation: Can I Request Certain Websites Be Promoted?

Yes. We encourage you to identify positive content you would like promoted.

Do I Get Reports?

Yes, you receive reports monthly as well as quarterly.

What Do I Have to Do?

Initially you need to provide as much positive information as possible. Locate the type of content you would like to see rise, and tell us your top key phrases. Then we create a plan, and execute. You will want to check search results daily, but we suggest you do it weekly after the first month or so. If there is a big jump, our software will usually find it and we'll alert you.
